“Clunkers for Christ”
Many people in the region have been fortunate to utilize the “Cash for Clunkers” program to assist in buying a new vehicle. Many dealers combined have had the opportunity to make many transactions and new customers and sell thousands of new vehicles because of this program. While all of this is transpiring, there are many less fortunate people in our community that are in need of food for their families and are looking for an opportunity to find the “FUEL” to impact their lives in a positive way.
As Nordstrom’s processes hundreds of these “clunkers” for the Government, we are offering this challenge for new car customers, dealers and anyone else who would wish to help to join Nordstrom’s in funding two great causes. We will be contributing $10.00 dollars from the scrap proceeds of every clunker we process under this program to go towards two great endeavors. We challenge you to match this challenge, or better yet give a larger contribution to these programs.
Every dollar generated from this challenge will be used to “FUEL” THE FOOD GIVE AWAY” held every Friday at Faith Temple Church on 33rd and Western and the LifeLight Festival to be held at Wild Water West this Labor Day weekend.
Over 100,000 lbs of food have been given away in the parking lot at Faith Temple in the past 12-weeks. Faith Temple is also seeking a permanent giveaway location heading into the winter months ahead. The LifeLight Festival is provided free because of donations, to over 300,000 attendees each year. Festival goers enjoy amazing radio-played bands like the Newsboys and Casting Crowns, take part in fun family activities and have an opportunity to have a life changing experience.

Nordstrom’s anticipates processing 600-1000 vehicles under this program.
